Statement Of Faith

As a household, we believe…

  • The word of God from Genesis to Revelation is inerrant and infallible (Psalm 119:89, 1 Peter 1:25, Psalm 18:30)

  • All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 1 Thessalonians 2:13)

  • God exists as a Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, all in one. (Isaiah 9:6, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 10:30, Luke 1:35, Ephesians 4:4-6)

  • God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit were all at the creation of the world. (Genesis 1:26, John 1:1, Genesis 1:1)

  • Mankind was created of the image in God. (Gen 1:26)

  • God created the world in six literal days. (Genesis 1)

  • Jesus is the Word, fully human and fully God (Colossians 2:9), and all things were/are created through Him.  (John 1:1-18, see verse 18; Hebrews 2:5-18, see verse 17; John 12:44-45)

  • Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega (Revelations 22:13), the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:31-35)

  • Jesus is the only mediator between God and us as mankind. (1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 9:15)

  • Jesus came to earth and lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-8), is now seated on the right hand of the Father (Acts 7:56, Phil 2:6-11), and will return (Acts 1:9-11, 1 Corinthians 4:5)

  • Jesus is the messiah, fulfilling what was foretold in prophecy. (Isaiah 7:14 & Luke 1:34-35) (Psalm 22:16-18, Psalm 34:20, Zechariah 12:10 & John 19:31-37, Matthew 27:35) (Isaiah 53:11 & John 20:1-10) (Mathew 5:17)

  • Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6, 1 John 5:12)

  • All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

  • There is a heaven and a hell. (Matthew 25:34, 41, 46)

  • Salvation from hell and into heaven is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • Water baptism is an outward expression and evidence of the sincere repentance and genuine confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (1 Peter 3:21, James 1:17-19, Mark 16:16)

  • God sent His Holy Spirit to us after Jesus resurrected and ascended into heaven (John 14:16, Acts 1:3-8), to do the sanctifying work in us (1 Peter 1:2).

  • The Holy Spirit is a person of the Godhead, the hand of God on earth (1 Corinthians 12:4-6), and our advocate, who convicts concerning sin, righteousness, and judgement (John 16:7-11)

  • The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth and makes known to us the will of God  (John 16:12-15)

  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit, with evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4)

  • Healing, deliverance, signs and wonders follow those who believe. (Mark 16:15-18, John 14:12)
